Who should attend
Anyone with an interest in interior design who wants to develop their awareness of colour or their knowledge of colour within design generally.

Course Detail
On this course expect one thing above all else: getting hands on! We will guide you through the processes of mixing colour, starting off by providing you with an understanding of the significance of the colour wheel and its information and definitions. Next up will be a little of colour theory’s history and psychology. Then you’ll be straight into the practicalities of mixing paint to produce your own paint chart, as well as developing a colour palette for use in interiors. You will also learn howcolour can be used to manipulate spatial dimensions.

Course Outcomes
You will leave the course able to mix tints, shades and tones, as well as create a colour palette. You’ll have a greater understanding of the concepts of colour theory.

Beginner

Please bring the following materials with you on the first day:

  • Notebook and pen
  • Pencils or pens for sketching
  • Primary Colour Set of Windsor and Newton Designers Gouache paints
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick
