Course Highlights
Group orientated learning
Close peer relationship to the MA Fine Art Course and its students
The course consists of a programme of individual and group tutorials, seminars and workshops. Within the teaching, emphasis is placed on development, experimentation and the critical discussion of your ideas with tutors and peers. It will introduce you to aspects of professional practice and to further study.
The course is delivered in two phases:
Phase 1: Analysis and Development: Development of concepts and relevant skills.
Phase 2: Consolidation and Realisation: Realisation of practice & research intentions.
These phases consist of two consecutive practice units with a critical and professional studies unit running in parallel:
Practical Studies: develops your practical and conceptual skills
Critical Studies: develops your understanding of the critical, historical and philosophical issues that underpin contemporary practice
Professional Studies: prepares you to engage effectively with art as a professional enterprise.
You are assessed in all three elements of the course.
