This new gallery opened on 12th April 2006 with 'Painting The Atlantic', a new series of work by Stephen Farthing RA, 'Rootstein Hopkins Chair of Drawing' at the University of the Arts London.
CHELSEA Future Space is a collaboration between Chelsea College of Art and Design, Future City Arts and St James Homes. This new gallery is situated in the Hepworth Building at Grosvenor Waterside, a new residential development near Chelsea Bridge.
CHELSEA Future Space is sponsored by St James Homes in association with Future City Arts as part of St James' commitment to the arts. Other arts projects on this development include a new permanent outside work by Richard Wilson as well as the first major building by Ken Shuttleworth's MAKE architects which has a metal cladding 'etched' by artist Clare Woods.
